Foot Valve
Foot valve is also called check valve or bottom valve. It is a low-pressure flat valve. Its function is to ensure the one-way flow of the liquid in the suction pipe and make the pump work normally. When the pump stops working intermittently for a short time, the liquid cannot return to the water source tank. The suction pipe is filled with liquid to facilitate the start of the pump.
According to the material, foot valve can be divided into plastic foot valve and metal foot valve. It can also be divided into ordinary foot valve and foot valve with backwash water flow. Foot valve is mainly used in water pumps and other mechanical equipment that handles slurry. Usually foot valve is installed at the bottom of the pump’s underwater suction pipe to prevent the slurry from returning.
